Who we are
La Foresta is a Neapolitan pizza business operating in the New Forest area. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal data when you place a pre-order through our website.
What data we collect
- Your name and email address when you place an order
- The items you order and the event you're attending
- Payment details — handled securely by Square; we never see or store your card details
- Whether you've opted in to marketing communications
Why we collect it
To fulfil your order — we need your name to prepare and hand over your pizza, and your email to send an order confirmation. The legal basis is performance of a contract.
Financial records — payment records are retained for seven years as required by HMRC. The legal basis is legal obligation.
Marketing — only if you've ticked the opt-in box, we may occasionally email you about future La Foresta events and offers. The legal basis is consent. You can withdraw this at any time by emailing us.
How we store it
Your data is stored securely in our database hosted by Supabase (EU region). Payment processing is handled by Square, who are PCI-DSS compliant. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for their own purposes.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data (subject to our legal obligation to retain financial records)
- Withdraw marketing consent at any time
